Armand Hatchuel, Professeur at Mines – ParisTech, refers to my work in his article « Les nouveaux lieux de la vie technologique » (The new places of technological life), published in Le Monde:

This year, at the Consumer Electronics Show of Las Vegas, the French delegations of start-ups and large enterprises was, clearly, the second bigest in the conference, after the US. The new place of France in this domain is a result of numerous efforts, public and private, where one should note the multiplication, since a decade, of new places Innovation Labs, BarCamps, Hackathons, communities, accelerators …) priviledging original innovation initiatives, adapted to a technological life were disruptions are permanent.

It’s specifically these places, their history, their practices, as well as the strange population of the “developers” hosted there that are described in a book issued from a recent Ph.D. thesis (Les Développeurs, Paris Chrysos, FYP éditions, 2015).
