Last week I had a call. They informed me that the proposal I had submitted for funding by the European Innovation Ecosystems part of the Horizon Europe program was accepted for funding! It was a large project (around 1 million euros) that involved many innovation stakeholders from different countries, and it’s been a great pleasure to learn that we finally did it!
The call was much about the “organisation of co-ideation challenges, where students can propose innovative solutions in the field of partners’ expertise” and “Enhanced entrepreneurial activity in developing innovation ecosystems and its scale up across Europe or internationally”. Thus I was able to use much of my knowledge about hackathons and innovation ecosystems that I had elaborated since my Ph.D. dissertation.
Yet, since the submission of the project I have moved to a different job, so I don’t know whether I will participate in the project after all. However, it’s nice to see that our collective work and imagination lead to success.
