On May 24th, took place at the Hilton Hotel in Athens the first Industrial Conference organised by the Greek Federation of Enterprises. I published an article in the Journal of Editors (Εφημερίδα των Συντακτών) that presents an overview of this conference. Far from suggesting a synthesis, the article portrays the different trajectories of reasoning amongst the different participants – mainly industrialists and members of the government. Despite the difficulty of a synthesis, it appeared that innovation and exportation boost have been a common ground amongst the speakers. The question of research as well as the one of the articulation of the small, medium and large enterprises have been set, though remain open for the future.
