La place nouvelle de la France dans ce domaine r\u00e9sulte de nombreux efforts publics et priv\u00e9s, parmi lesquels il faut souligner la multiplication, depuis une d\u00e9cennie, de nouveaux lieux (Innovation Labs, BarCamps, Hackathons, communaut\u00e9s, acc\u00e9l\u00e9rateurs\u2026) favorisant des d\u00e9marches d\u2019innovation originales, adapt\u00e9es \u00e0 une vie technologique dont les bouleversements sont permanents.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ce sont pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment ces lieux, leur histoire, leurs pratiques, ainsi que l\u2019\u00e9trange population de \u00ab d\u00e9veloppeurs \u00bb qu\u2019ils accueillent, que d\u00e9crit un ouvrage issu d\u2019une th\u00e8se r\u00e9cente (Les D\u00e9veloppeurs, Paris Chrysos, FYP \u00e9ditions, 2015).\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 On d\u00e9finit souvent l\u2019innovation comme une invention qui doit r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 un march\u00e9 et trouver un financement. Ces notions sont importantes mais elles masquent le processus de conception des innovations et la vie technologique. Or, cette vie change de forme et d\u2019organisation avec les r\u00e9volutions techniques ou commerciales.
