About<\/span><\/h2>\n

I am Assistant Professor in the Department of Digital Industry Technologies, in the School of Science at University of Athens (NKUA). My courses are about Management and Innovation and my research focuses on industrial and epistemological impacts of emerging technologies.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Graduate Computer, Electrical and Electronics Engineer of the National Technical University of Athens, I had my Master in Sociology of innovation before enrolling to Ph.D. study. My Ph.D. thesis<\/a>, undertaken at Mines \u2013 ParisTech was about innovation on the Web (available at archives-ouvertes.fr<\/a> and cnrs.fr<\/a>, written in English and downloaded over 2600 times). There, I conceptualzed the role of developers in the emergence of new industries. It has been a very early study from the perspective of Management Science on the phenomenon of developer innovation, its genealogy and the related organization forms for innovation (Hackathons, Online forums, Barcamps) and lead to the publication of the book “Les D\u00e9veloppeurs<\/a>” (FYP, 2015).<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I have taught at Mines-ParisTech, ISC Paris, the National Technical University of Athens, the Shanghai FUCE Institute; the National School of Fine Arts in Athens and I have presented my research work at different universities (ETH Zurich, \u00c9cole des Hautes \u00c9tudes En Sciences Sociales, MIT, Arizona State University, University of Athens, University of East London) and academic conferences (NASA Academy of Aerospace Quality, European Academy of Management, Open and User Innovation, European Group for Organization Studies, Innovation and Product Development Management Conference and other). My work is also published in international journals (Natures, Sciences et Soci\u00e9t\u00e9s, First Monday, International Journal of Organization Design and Engineering). I also have reviewed papers for academic journals and have mentored and evaluated startups at an international level and consulted companies in France and in Greece in innovation processes. <\/span><\/p>\n

I served as Vice President of the Hellenic Organisation for Industrial Property (OBI) and represented Greece at OECD groups on technologies (semiconductors, quantum technologies). I have contributed in the design of national surveys about the digital transformation of firms and have coordinated national and European research collaboration projects.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been visiting scholar in the Center for Organizational Research and Design of the School of Public Affairs at Arizona State University and in the School of Chemical Engineering at National Technical University of Athens.
